Meta Bank – Bank Meta scammed me and many other customers… Why?

“Things gained through unjust fraud are never secure”

~ Sophocles

If you want to fight the evil you see in finance and industry, get to work reading the corporate filings, see if there has been fraud, and where you find it, report it to the SEC or write about it or blog about it.

METABANK scammed me and then  they lied to me and tried to put the blame on me or anyone else but themselves for the pain they had caused.

By their actions, METABANK appears to be displaying the characteristics of a narcissistic personality disorder.

The Mayo Clinic Describes A Narcissitic Personality Disorder as:

Narcissistic personality disorder is a mental disorder in which people have an inflated sense of their own importance and a deep need for admiration.

Those with narcissistic personality disorder believe that they’re superior to others and have little regard for other people’s feelings. But behind this mask of ultra-confidence lies a fragile self-esteem, vulnerable to the slightest criticism.

Narcissistic personality disorder is one of several types of personality disorders.

Personality disorders are conditions in which people have traits that cause them to feel and behave in socially distressing ways, limiting their ability to function in relationships and in other areas of their life, such as work or school.

Narcissistic personality disorder treatment is centered around psychotherapy.

Narcissistic personality disorder is characterized by dramatic, emotional behavior, which is in the same category as antisocial and borderline personality disorders.

Narcissistic personality disorder symptoms may include:

      • Believing that you’re better than others
      • Fantasizing about power, success and attractiveness
      • Exaggerating your achievements or talents
      • Expecting constant praise and admiration
      • Believing that you’re special and acting accordingly
      • Failing to recognize other people’s emotions and feelings
      • Expecting others to go along with your ideas and plans
      • Taking advantage of others
      • Expressing disdain for those you feel are inferior
      • Being jealous of others
      • Believing that others are jealous of you
      • Trouble keeping healthy relationships
      • Setting unrealistic goals
      • Being easily hurt and rejected
      • Having a fragile self-esteem
      • Appearing as tough-minded or unemotional

Although some features of narcissistic personality disorder may seem like having confidence or strong self-esteem, it’s not the same. Narcissistic personality disorder crosses the border of healthy confidence and self-esteem into thinking so highly of yourself that you put yourself on a pedestal. In contrast, people who have healthy confidence and self-esteem don’t value themselves more than they value others.

When you have narcissistic personality disorder, you may come across as conceited, boastful or pretentious. You often monopolize conversations.

You may belittle or look down on people you perceive as inferior. [METABANK prides itself on serving the underbanked or unbanked, which translates as being the most economically fragile and vulnerable people in our society.]

You may have a sense of entitlement. [Have you looked at the annual income for METABANK’s CEOs? METABANK claims to provide services they actually have no intention of providing. METABANK is really nothing more than a collections agency. Look closely at the criteria METABANK has when seeking employees]

And when you don’t receive the special treatment to which you feel entitled, you may become very impatient or angry. You may insist on having “the best” of everything — the best car, athletic club, medical care or social circles, for instance.

But underneath all this behavior often lies a fragile self-esteem. You have trouble handling anything that may be perceived as criticism. You may have a sense of secret shame and humiliation. And in order to make yourself feel better, you may react with rage or contempt and efforts to belittle the other person to make yourself appear better.

When to see a doctor
When you have narcissistic personality disorder, you may not want to think that anything could be wrong — doing so wouldn’t fit with your self-image of power and perfection.

But by definition, a narcissistic personality disorder causes problems in many areas of your life, such as relationships, work, school or your financial affairs. [METABANK’s design is to cause pain for the most vulnerable citizens and to make lots and lots of money for themselves…. they way METABANK does business is designed to be a scam.]

You may be generally unhappy and confused by a mix of seemingly contradictory emotions. Others may not enjoy being around you, and you may find your relationships unfulfilling.

If you notice any of these problems in your life, consider reaching out to a trusted doctor or mental health provider. Getting the right treatment can help make your life more rewarding and enjoyable.

Causes:

Narcissistic personality disorder is characterized by dramatic, emotional behavior, which is in the same category as antisocial and borderline personality disorders.

Narcissistic personality disorder symptoms may include:

      • Believing that you’re better than others [METABANK advertises that it is a leader in the field, but it also appears that METABANK has created organizations to give themselves customer service awards when customers complain often and for years now about how horribly they have been treated by METABANK]
      • Fantasizing about power, success and attractiveness [MetaBank’s success is all based on and relies on lies]
      • Exaggerating your achievements or talents [METABANK exaggerates what services they will provide to customers and their partner corporate entities which they get to sell their prepaid cards for them.]
      • Expecting constant praise and admiration
      • Believing that you’re special and acting accordingly [ METABANK lies to customers for why they took advantage of that customer and METABANK creates all of the rules by which they permit themselves to obtain interest free loans from their customer base. From the unbanked or underbanked, METABANK rationalizes that it is perfectly acceptable for them to charge those people at a higher interest rate… This is unscrupulous and immoral]
      • Failing to recognize other people’s emotions and feelings [METABANK continues the same scam over and over using new names… METABANK has no qualms about lying to their customer base]
      • Expecting others to go along with your ideas and plans [METABANK puts out a string of major lies for why they won’t give a customer access to their own money. Obviously, METABANK has provided their customer representatives with a list of specific lies to use. Customers complain over and over again about METABANK doing the same thing to them. METABANK’s publicity sounds reasonable but how METABANK operates is where they truly fail. Other than that, because METABANK says they will offer a quality product to their customers that is safer and more secure, but which isn’t at all for the customer because it will be METABANK who will be the one who steals from their customer base… All of this other security talk is nothing but a smoke screen.]
      • Taking advantage of others [This is exactly what METABANK does, over and over again.]
      • Expressing disdain for those you feel are inferior [METABANK seeks out those people who don’t have a good credit history and says they don’t even need to prove they are credit worthy to be able to do business with METABANK… in one place, METABANK says they will send credit information to all of the credit agencies so that customers with a bad credit record can repair their credit history simply by using the METABANK PREPAID DEBIT CARD THAT IS CREATED IN ASSOCIATION WITH A DIRECTLY DEPOSITED SALARY CHECK OR GOVERNMENT CHECK…..ONCE META BANK HAS FULL CONTROL OF A CUSTOMER’s MONEY IS WHEN METABANK JUMPS IN TO “GO FOR THE KILL”… METABANK keeps customers from having use of their own cash money so they can get an interest free loan for themselves… Why does METABANK create rules and internal practices that allows them special privileges they wouldn’t offer to their own customers? What makes METABANK think they are so entitled? This is where METABANK truly acts in a narcissistic manner. These directives are coming from the upper eschelons to their employees… The ones who are earning huge incomes annually]
      • Being jealous of others
      • Believing that others are jealous of you
      • Trouble keeping healthy relationships
      • Setting unrealistic goals
      • Being easily hurt and rejected
      • Having a fragile self-esteem
      • Appearing as tough-minded or unemotional [ This would be how METABANK’s customers would describe METABANK]

And when you don’t receive the special treatment to which you feel entitled, you may become very impatient or angry.

You may insist on having “the best” of everything — the best car, athletic club, medical care or social circles, for instance.[METABANK appears to keep all of the money for their own use, at the expense and pain of their customer base. This is not normal; the way METABANK treats their customer base is not normal. It is designed to cause their customers great pain for METABANK’s own gain.]

But underneath all this behavior often lies a fragile self-esteem.

You have trouble handling anything that may be perceived as criticism.[Does this mean that because METABANK creates serious problems for their customers and lies to their customers when those customers do in fact criticize the way they have been abused by METABANK because what METABANK did was actually unfair, cruel, unscrupulous and mean just so METABANK could get an interest free loan from that customer, that METABANK still does this scam on their own customer base and this is why they spend so much of their energy not correcting the problem or the quality of the service offered by METABANK… this will warrant further study.]

You may have a sense of secret shame and humiliation. And in order to make yourself feel better, you may react with rage or contempt and efforts to belittle the other person to make yourself appear better. [METABANK does a major push back using bold and blatant lies… This seems Narcissistic.]

[Customers have been complaining about the same treatment and abuse by the way that METABANK fails to correct a problem they have created themselves…. This is really looking like some kind of very sick internal management issues!!!  After years of hearing the same customer complaint, why hasn’t METABANK changed?]

If you notice any of these problems in your life, consider reaching out to a trusted doctor or mental health provider. Getting the right treatment can help make your life more rewarding and enjoyable.

CAUSES:

Narcissistic personality disorder is rare. It affects more men than women. Narcissistic personality disorder often begins in early adulthood. Although some adolescents may seem to have traits of narcissism, this may simply be typical of the age and doesn’t mean they’ll go on to develop narcissistic personality disorder.

Although the cause of narcissistic personality disorder isn’t known, some researchers think that extreme parenting behaviors, such as neglect or excessive indulgent praise, may be partially responsible.

Risk factors for narcissistic personality disorder may include:

  • Parental disdain for fears and needs expressed during childhood

  • Lack of affection and praise during childhood

  • Neglect and emotional abuse in childhood

  • Excessive praise and overindulgence

  • Unpredictable or unreliable caregiving from parents

  • Learning manipulative behaviors from parents

Children who learn from their parents that vulnerability is unacceptable may lose their ability to empathize with others’ needs. They may also mask their emotional needs with grandiose, egotistical behavior that’s calculated to make them seem emotionally “bulletproof.”

Lets look at this posting by METABANK as they seek a new employee:

Director, Security Fraud/Chargeback [ Please note that METABANK isn’t being concerned about their customer’s welfare here. They are being paranoid. After all, all those customers keep complaining and complaining. And what exactly is paranoia?

Definition of PARANOIA

1 : a psychosis characterized by systematized delusions of persecution or grandeur usually without hallucinations
2 : a tendency on the part of an individual or group toward excessive or irrational suspiciousness and distrustfulness of others

OK, systematized tendency of a group such as METABANK toward excessive or irrational suspiciousness and distrustfulness of others….. Why did METABANK train their customer representatives to lie to their customers rather than actually address their customer’s real needs? It was METABANK’s ready string of lies that the customer representative obviously had been given by way of a list to throw back at customers who phoned in that first got my attention…. Then online, I saw that this was METABANK’s pattern of behavior and that METABANK frequently changed the name of the product, but it was always the same product and awful service… This was a complete disregard for the rest of humanity over and over again so they could take advantage of ordinary people for their own financial gain.]

Department: MPS Security Fraud 675

    • fosters productive relationships with internal bank units, clients, programs, and processors;
    • leads, manages and documents complex investigations for Meta Payment Systems (MPS) in conjunction with Federal, State and local law enforcement agencies and prosecutors.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

    • Plans, coordinates and completes documentation for counsel and law enforcement investigations in court cases. [METABANK must be in litigation all the time. So this is a design game where METABANK creates a loophole for their own protection…. It appears this way here.]
    • Oversight management for FIU fraud investigations. [ Financial Intelligence Unit??? for fraud investigation? It is METABANK that is scamming their customers. That is very clear to all of us who have been scammed by METABANK]

    • Maintains chargeback timeframes associated with association and SLA’s [Chargeback timeframes… does this sound like consumer protections?]
    • Participates and promotes the Bank’s anti-fraud efforts in community or other service programs to develop goodwill.

[ Goodwill?? METABANK abuses their own customers. Good customer service would serve all of us well… It appears that internal issues found within METABANK prevent them from being able to provide a decent and reliable product to their customers.]

    • Maintain acceptable level of commitment and a passion for the mission of the FIU and the company.
    • Other duties as assigned.

Supervisory Responsibilities: This job has supervisory responsibilities. [ In METABANK’s CD Fraud legal battle in 2009, they said that one of their employees was embezzling money. Pickhinkle said that she was told to shift money from one CD into another by her supervisor. METABANK should have picked up an internal embezzlement problem with their annual internal audit if the supervisor missed it. It is impossible to believe that METABANK didn’t know what was going on internally. Other banks had to take METABANK to court. It was there that all the blame was pushed off onto one person when it had to have happened with the neglectful oversight of METABANK CEOs….. It just appears that METABANK is looking for lawsuits to such a great degree that they know that what they are doing will bring about complaints and lawsuits.]

      • Ability to work in a fast-paced business environment [ Fast-paced environment really means that the rules will be changing regularly to trick the customers and to get advantage over them in an adversarial way. Employees must speak clearly and persuasively in positive and negative situations and continually look for ways to improve and promote quality products and services to our customers. It is by design that stressful circumstances will be created by METABANK itself among the top CEOs who have failed to correct on-going and continued problems in spite of numerous complaints.]

[ METABANK has repeated abused and taken advantage of their customer base over a period of years. No apparent changes in policies or the way they address customer complaints so that the customer’s needs are addressed, not only for that one customer but for all customers. The complaints about METABANK are almost identical and they have been coming in for years now…. Something is very wrong within METABANK… We do not want to be abused like this as customers anywhere.]
